I recently copied an image of a mario party 8(PAL) iso to a DVD+RW, at the slowest possible speed. Strangely, my Wii cannot play it. The game appears to load in the Wii disc channel, but when I click on the play icon I end up staring at a black screen. My Region is US, but I've unlocked the region-free with a configuration disc. I suspect the error may be related to the configuration disc, since everytime I load the setup screen, it appears as if my settings weren't saved, despite me saving them. I'm not sure however.

When you get the torrent use something like utorrent or bittorrent to download it, Don't extract the iso just burn it to a DVD, You can buy mod chips online, and the best right now is Wiikey kk thanks all bye

I bought a wii from china a couple of weeks ago, its region free and also already modded so does play backed up games, but my problem is that is there a way to convert the menu from chinese/japanese to english, its not a majore deal but if its possible i would be greatful to know?
I've tried to download other copies of the same game and still the same and also tried other media.

Although this is more geared toward backing up original games, just follow the instructions starting from:
* Software to unzip the Raw Dump files.Winrar
When you extract the files, choose only one of the many numbered rar files (.r00, .r01, .r02 etc). This will take all the files you just downloaded and create an ISO file for you to burn to a disc.

is it a pal or a ntsc file?What i always do is convert it to pal and copy it to a +RW in that way i am almost 99% sure that it works.
When you put youre "backup"in it tried to do it like 2 a 3 times sometimes it does not work at once.I have some disk that need to be inserted 3 times before they start up.

And besure that you first update youre nintendo with the latest driver just hook it on the net get the new firmware and then let it chipped.The d2ckey has a tail sticking out in the future you could update it.just have a look on http://www.d2ckey.com/ for more info.But beware that if you got a update date through a NTSC game that you dont update youre PAL in that way it is bricked, look on the site for more info about that problem.For that it is importent that you first update youre nintendo.

I downloaded azureus. What do you mean drop it into the map? What map are you talking about? Also, i checked the files being downloaded and it still only has 30 files that are available to winrar. I know there are 90 something files on it but only about 30 can be winrar. So that's my problem. How come when i download only a few files are being downloaded? Thanks for your help.
indeed was not so good of a explain lol, i cant look at youre files but if you have only 30 winrar do you also have other files in that map?Or only those 30?
I mean by drop it in the map The map where you download the game with utorrent or bittorrent say you save it in C:\mydownloads then you must save the same file with azureus in that map.But the torrent must be the same.If you have deleted the file you could try it with azureus give it a half a hour then look in the map where you download it in and look how many files you have.
And is it not so that you only have 30 rars and the rest is different (cant get to the word) if that is the case just just let winrar open all the files and it will be good.Sometimes you get that you must rename the files to rar or just open with winrar.

You must unrar all the files with winrar when you have done that you get a iso file that file you will burn to a dvd and play.Read some post above and it will be clear.

After that is done you will need to burn the iso file (looks like a cd)to a dvd-r with imgburn http://www.free-codecs.com/ImgBurn_download.htm AT THE LOWEST SPEED OR IF YOU DONT HAVE PATIENCE ON THE HALF SPEED THAT YOU DVD COULD BURN 16SPEED DVD YOU BURN AT 8 SPEED.The lowest speed is importent so that you re wii could read it better.Now put it in youre wii and play.
Problems
Most common problems.
When you downloaded a game and you unrar it you could get a error like say r002 is correpted.What you do is write down all the errors and then delete all the bad rars.Then you will redownload the torrent, you will see it will check the files you have and it will only download the rars that you miss.You could also tried it with a rar checker (i am no fan of that).If the rars still are bad you could look on a other torrent site for the same torrent and do the same as above.
Not all the files are rars yes they are just do what i said above.
If want to unrar and you only get this message open with.....just open it with winrar it will convert itself and you are done.
When i am done figure some cod4 editing out i will put a tutorail on mine site with images so that you all could see.

Why are guys screwing around with crap you have never done before. Its pretty straight forward and as someone else stated check on the net before you waste everyones time in a forum thats suspose to be about Wii iso.
The point of this forum is to tell people about Wii isos not teach them how to use winrar not tell they they need a modchip not tell them to use a torrent rngine but how to get get Wii iso files.
We get people who dont even as modchip installed complaining that their Wii wouldnt play the backups. Or the other idiots thinking the torrent file itself is the iso or that the download will always be an iso file not rar. My god you people are useless and should do your homework before you ask stupid and dumb question .
So here is what you need to do step by step.
1 Put a modchip in your Wii
2 download a torrent engine ( Utorrent is good)
3 Search for the Wii torrent files you want, make sure you check you region North America is NTSC, Eurpoe and Japan are PAL
4 Download the torrent file and open with you search in engine
5 after it downloads which could take a week or longer to do depends on the seeders open the file it will more than likely be in 80 or so .RAR files
6 Search and find a program on the net called WINRAR and install it.
7 Click on the first RAR file of your download and click extract. This will compile the 80 or so files into one iso format.
8 Use nero buring rom to burn the disk. Very important step Click on burn image to disk, this is important because it is not a dvd file format and nero cant read it so copies the data straight from the file. Step your burn speed not faster than 4x
9 Then insert your copied game into your " MODDED WII, MODDED WII" and way you go.
Now stop with the stupid questions

I bought a Wii from America and installed a Wii key. However the Wii key does not seem to work. I had a boot disk that i got the last time I bought a mod chip but this does not seem to work at all. I am confident that all the connectiones are ok as they have been checked and double checked under a microscope.

use Verbatim discs and make sure there from taiwan (europe.com) and not india discs, check that first, second make sure you regiofrii it and brick blocker the iso, I presume your using it on a PAL wii. You should be sorted.

I've been looking for a working copy of Killer 7 for GCN for quite a while. I'd greatly appreciate if you can upload one. PAL or NTSC doesn't matter, although PAL is preferred as there is no progressive mode in both versions. I'm sure other players are looking for it as well.

I D/L the mario party 8 USA Torrent and when i played it.It asked me to update. My wii is ver. 3.2U with D2c modchip. What should i do. Im afraid to update it. It might brick my wii or something. What would be consequences of updating my wii using the Mario Party 8 game.

I wrote the files to the disc , then when i insert the disc in the wii , it started an update and as the updates were finished . I opened the wii settings and there was a page about opera mini .
I came back to wii menu , I noticed that there were 2 weather and news channels . And when i played the game an error appeared "error#1 unauthorized device"

You only need Twilight Princess to install the Homebrew Channel a SD card to put the HBC on it and the Backup Loader 0.3 beta/gamma. There is a list online, which games work on which version. I hope this comment will be recomanded ;). (maybe u ll put that on the top, so more people can play burnt games ;)

I have a compa laptop with a double layer DVD burner (new from Feb 2008). When it gets to the end of burning, I get an issue with verification and closing the disc. Any ideas on this?

I've just paid for a subscription to this site, only now does it mention that you need to have your wii chipped for any of the software to work, my wii is original factory settings and unchipped, i dont want to get it chipped as this will invalidate the warranty,why is it not mentioned before you pay that the wii has to be chipped....i know its a long shot but whats the chances of a refund as these programmes are utterly useless to me!!

if u have more than one iso than u just can put them together that way: u have to open the black window (the cmd/command) window and type cd/ and the path the iso files are in (should be a part of C:/) than u type like that copy B/ 1.iso + 2.iso ... wii.iso

I myself has a 3.3u softmodded with backup launcher 0.3 on a hdtv. All my games work well on my T.V., even the PAL games that I have patched using WiigionFree 1.0 followed by Wii Brick Blocker. But I have softmodded my uncles Wii and my g/f's sons Wii and for some reason, they both experience a black and white screen flickering up and down on the T.V. My uncle as a 8 yr old tube T.V. and my g/f's son has a samsung hdtv that is about 7 months old.
My uncles Wii was a virgin 4.0u and I used bannerbomb to install the HB channel and backup launcher 0.3
My g/f's son has a new Wii, just bought a week ago version 3.4 but serial numbered lu64 and I used the lu64 fix to install HB channel and backup launcher 0.3
But what has me wondering is that most of my games are PAL and have been patched using WiigionFree 1.0 first then I'll use WiiBrickBlocker. All the games work great with my T.V. that is also a hdtv, about 2 months old. But why do all the games work for me and not for them? Is there a fix for this or am I doing something wrong? I have downloaded 2 wii games. I put on the game file open with img burner but when I go to use img burner it can,t see the games? I just downloaded an iso game for the wii and have burn't it using imgburner with the speed of 1x.I'm using dvd-rw.But the problem is when i put the disk in the wii and start it up with softchipr92m it fails to read the disc.

I just modded my wii, and i downloaded a pal version game, and the game did a system update itself and now the wii settings does not open. Everytime i try to open i get a browser with an error message. I can not go into settings to view or edit my settings. I updated the system with ashes cricket 09 pal version game and my wii is ntsc version. Is there any way i can get back my settings page ? Please help.

My WII is chipped, so thats the obvious one answered and I already have copied games.
I downloaded Super Mario as an ISO file, and burned it to a disk using CheetahDVD Burn ISO option.
But when I try to play it, it says unable to read disk.
Where am I going wrong.

Some wii isos run and work perfectly fine. Many others do not run at all or cause a system error that I have to pull out the wii's electrical cord to stop. Some isos, like the iso for Super Paper Mario, only run in black and white with no color.
The sites I get these isos from have most people claiming that the isos work fine.
What could be wrong? Why do some wii isos work fine for me while others catastrophically fail? Is there really this widespread of iso file problems for the games, or is there some detail or download I'm missing?

I have a sophisticated doubt. Me and my sister, we tried to mod the wii. We did'nt want to waster a lot of DVDs, so, we installed the USB loader and we installed homebrew channel and some IOS files numbers.etc.etc. Then when we tried putting a game through a USB after thinking we modded it, it showed an error. Then we gave up the idea and we did'nt even play the wii for another 3 months. Now we don't know what all we did. We don't know whether we modded it or not. To find out, I burned a downloaded game into a SONY DVD-R and tried it on the wii. It showed unable to read disc. Does it mean that I didn't mod my wii or I did and something went wrong?Please help me. I have been trying to find a solution for the past 1 year!!!!

I recently copied an image of a Battle stadium D.O.N gamecube iso to a DVD+R, at the slowest possible speed. Strangely, my Wii cannot play it. The game appears to load in the Wii disc channel, but when I click on the play icon I end up staring at a black screen. My Region is Euro.could you help me please

I just have one question. I downloaded 3 games and I successfully burned them to a dvd. They load up and I am able to play them. The only problem is that there is no color on the games. They are all black and white and no I don't have an old tv. The wii menu looks fine but once the game loads it turns to black and white, everything works fine except for the fact that everything is in black and white.

Thanks for all the wii iso's...i appreciate it...i just had a question...sometimes i download a iso but when i try to open it with winrar there is no iso file in there to unzip...sometimes there are several rar files but i dont know how to get the iso...i have my wii softmodded...i use configurable usb loader to play my games off of a hard drive...so i use wbfs managher 3.0 to load them onto my wii hdd...i recently downloaded metal slug anthology....after dling it the file i opened has a bunch of syn-msaw winrar archive files and syn-msaw.r30 - synmsaw.r85 files and a syn.msaw.sfv file...i dont know how to unzip this game and others like it....please help...thank you for your time...by the way do you guys know when you will have family feud 2010? my wife is driving me crazy for it...ty
Ive recently noticed that most of you have problems finding the iso well, guess what ?? the iso file that your looking for is the one that you are trying to unzip!!!
you see, your programs such as winrar and winzip read the file as zipped! those files that are inside the iso are the details of the game!!! so all you have to do is burn that one folder!

P.S, it worked with me and i have a modchip installed; if you want to know where to get a modchip, go to a game store and have it modded!

I have the Wii ISO for Super Smash Bros Brawl. I want to extract files from it (specifically the sound files so I can play them in Foobar2000 with proper plugin). I know Izarc can open CD/DVD disk images (ISOs) but it doesn't work with Wii ISOs. Is there an archive explorer/extractor (similar to Izarc) I can use that will handle Wii ISOs?

So I have a chinese Wii with some sort of mod.
I have been DL'ing some games and a few work, most dont, they will sort of semi load and just freeze...but thats not the problem.
I got Tiger woods PGA tour 11 NTSC (from here) and tried to run it, it did some sort of update and when it finished it has now stopped reading any discs, just get the ? sign.
Also, my settings page is now showing Opera.
I guess reading chinese would help but for now, how do i get out of this situation?

I have two issues really but will only try to seek one for now. Basically most of my wii downloads work fine from here or torrentfinder. I very rarely have any issues, but I noticed when I download the wii sing it games, both BoyBands vs GirlBands and wii sing it Michael Jackson, none of them load. I recieve an error on my wii to say it's unable to load that game, but most of the other games from here work fine.
What kind of checks could I do to prevent thios from happening. As stated, most (90%) work fine, I burn using IMGBURN onto TDK DVD-R with no issues

i have installed the homebrew channel, cover floader and usb loader gx and i can download any games i want and play it
to those who cant figure out why their files are only 25-100kb in size it is because you need to use a torrent downloader like Miro, Vuze, uTorrent, BitTorrent etc and then download the game throug that, that will give u the iso files
and for those who hav 95 files instead of 1 iso u need to download and install WinRAR and click extract on 1 of the files and that will extract into 1 ISO. U only need to click extract on 1 as all of the archivess are linked

i have downloaded a backup game iso into my dvd -r and then i put it into my wii console i see it in colors but when i click pn start tp play the game nothing hapen , i have the NeoGamma to play my back up game when i choose to (launch game on dvd the game will play but not in colors , it will play in black and white ....

I bought my son a Wii just over a year ago it came with burned (copied) discs which were working fine at the time. He stopped using it for a few months. Started to use it again a few weeks ago but only original games will work now. Someone suggested buying an upgraded SD card can anyone advise if this will solve the problem. Any assistance greatly appreciated.
But now (after 2 years) i wanted to play those games again but i get a wii disc read error!
Some burnt games work but other burnt games cannot be read so I know it isn't a laser problem. I reburnt the unreadable games and still doesn't work so its not a dvd (scratch, dust) problem.
